ONE person has died in a multiple auto crash that occurred on Sunday around Ijebu Ode area of Ogun State, while four others were unhurt, Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Agency, TRACE, spokesperson, Mr. Babatunde Akinbiyi, said in a statement.

 

Akinbiyi, who narrated an eyewitness’ account of the accident said that the unfortunate event was caused by the driver of a Volvo truck who drove against the traffic leading to the death of one person, added that the accident involved a tanker loaded with diesel, with a registration number LNU 392 ZU, a Volvo truck and a Toyota car with registration number EKY 471 BR.

 

The TRACE’s public relations officer said that the occupant of the Toyota car died instantly while four occupants of the other vehicle survived the auto crash unhurt.

 

Akiniyi said that officials of TRACE, Federal Road Safety Commission, FRSC, and fire service were deployed to the scene of the accident for a rescue operation.

 

He added that the dead victim had been deposited at the morgue of the Ijebu Ode General Hospital.
