First Lady, Mrs. Aisha Buhari, will host at least 18 presidential aspirants vying for the nation’s most exalted seat to an Iftar dinner at the Presidential Villa on Saturday.

The invitation was extended to Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, Rivers State Governor Nyesome Wike and 15 other presidential hopefuls across political parties.

An invitation card for the event sent to the heavyweights was in circulation on Thursday.

It advised those invited not to come along with their mobile devices, stating that their invitation cards will serve as their entry pass.

Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Office of the First Lady, Aliyu Abdullah, clarified that it is standard protocol for guests at events in the President Villa, to be requested not to go in with phones.

Meanwhile, momentum towards the 2023 general election is seriously gathering. Nigerian Pilot had reported that the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, pegged its presidential aspiration form at a whopping N100 million, while the opposition People’s Democratic Party, PDP, hinged its own at N40 million.
