The paramount king of the Idoma Kingdom, Agaba-Idu, His Royal Majesty, Dr. Elaigwu John Odogbo, Och’Idoma V, has described Benue state governor, Samuel Ortom as an uncommon leader and passionate defender of his people.
Dr. Elaigwu John Odogbo stated this while felicitating with the Benue governor on his 61 birthday celebration.
In a statement he personally signed, the Och’Idoma V, also urged the governor to listen to plea of Idoma Kingdom, for power rotation to Benue Zone C, the Idoma- speaking area of the state
He said, “On this auspicious occasion of your birthday, I on behalf of the entire Idoma nation wish to convey profound good wishes to Your Excellency Executive Governor of Benue State.
“You are a visionary leader and a true inspiration to me personally and the entire people of Benue state and many around the globe. You are a destiny fulfiller and godsend, especially at this time of managing the security of our dear state.
“I elected to write to you and thank you for everything you have done, and continue to do for our great state.
“I wish to use this opportunity on this special day in your life to appeal to you to listen to the dire plea of Idoma Kingdom, which is the call for equity and fairness as it relates to power rotation in the state, to include Benue South senatorial district.
“Your sacrifices shall be crested in the annals of Benue and indeed Nigeria and taught to generations to come!”
