A group, Oduduwa Development Initiative, ODI, has risen in defence of Hon. Oladipupo Olatunde Adebutu over alleged conspiracy with the members of executive officers of the Ogun State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP to impose unpopular delegates and alter the delegate list in his favour, saying he will never involved himself in such.

The group, in a statement signed by its National President, Ambassador Akinyele Sumbo, and made available to our correspondent at the weekend in Abuja, maintained that Adebutu will not be part of any dealing about imposition of delegates or altering delegates list in his favour, saying the accusations are unfounded, baseless and misleading by agents of destabilization.

He said Adebutu, as the governorship aspirant in the coming election is a man of equity, fairness and openness.

“Adebutu is a democratic oriented person with strong affinity for upholding the tenets of democracy, hence all party faithful should disregard such politically sponsored allegations,” Akinyele stated.

The group, therefore, enjoined all PDP members in the state to remain focused and united, and not allow internal rift and rancour selfishly orchestrated by unsatisfied members to bring down the efforts of many years.

ODI, while cautioning “all agent provocateurs and rumor mongers to desist from such campaign of calumny”, appealed to PDP leaders in Ogun to show more support and cooperation on the task of taking over Government House in 2023.

According to the group, “Adebutu is the man for the job and no propaganda or blackmail will make us loose focus on this divine governorship project. Ladi Adebutu is our choice to salvage Ogun from the hands of political usurpers.”

“We call on the general public to get their PVC, register and vote for Adebutu as the next governor of Ogun State,” ODI further urged.
