NJC approve 46 judges, Kadis for states, FCT

National Judicial Council, NJC, has at its 98th meeting recommended 46 names for appointment as Heads of Court and other Judicial Officers for the Federal and State Judiciaries.

This, according to the Director, Information to the NJC, Soji Oye, was sequel to the list of successful candidates presented to NJC by its Interview Committee.

They include Hon. Justice Chukwuemeka-Chikeka Theresa Eberechukwu, Chief Judge, Imo State, Hon. Kadi Bahago Yusuf Abubakar Agwai 11, Grandi Kadi, Sharia Court of Appeal, Nasarawa State and Hon. Justice Okorie Victor Uchenna, President, Customary Court of Appeal, Imo State.

Others are Felicia Mnguashima Ikyegh, Omale Gabriel Anebi and Shishi John Mkoholga, Judges of High Courts in Benue State, Auwal Ya’u and Mustapha Bello Adamu, Judges of High Courts in Jigawa State and Diai Christopher Dumebi, Odebale Ekuogbe Baro and Gesikeme-Akebofah Angonumere Mary, Judges of High Courts in Delta State.

Judges approved for Plateau State High Court are Ladi Agyer Madaki, Longden Danladi Jacob, Elizabeth Ibrahim Angai and Samchi Dasplang Simon while Hassan Shehu Kuwwa, Shamsudeen Jaafar and Maryam Abubakar Kaoje were approved for Kebbi State High Court.

Adamawa State High Court got Ishaku Yakubu Haliru, Felix Daniel Nzarga, Abbas Adamu Hoban and Maxwell Tartius Pukuma, Kogi State: Clement Ohiani Kekere, Hawa Eleojo Yusufu and Isa Jamil Abdullahi while Imo State High Court has Okereke Chinyere Ngozi, Onyekachi Michael Bless Chibueze, Antoinette Chinenye Onyeukwu,Innocent Chidi Ibeawuchi, Alinnor Lotanna Chukwunyere Leo and Nwachukwu Obinna Emmanuel.

Plateau State Sharia Court of Appeal got one Kadi in the person of Yahaya Mohammed Kanam, Kebbi State Sharia Court of Appeal, three: Nasiru Umar Zagga, Adamawa State Sharia Court of Appeal, Magaji Chiroma and Ibrahim Barkindo.
