Barely 24 hours to the speculated screening of presidential aspirants of All Progressives Congress, APC; wife of the President, Aisha Buhari yesterday stormed the Buhari House National Secretariat to hold a meeting with the national Chairman of APC, Abdullahi Adamu.

Aisha, in company of wife of Vice president, Dolapo Osinbajo, Minister of Women Affairs, Dame Pauline Tallen, APC national women leader, and other women, held a closed door meeting with Adamu.

Though the first lady claimed her visit was to congratulate Adamu on his recent election as the national chairman of APC, there are indications that it might not be unconnected with the ongoing politicking over the election of presidential flag bearer of the party.

Vice president, Yemi Osinbajo, is one of the prominent contenders for the presidential ticket of APC.

Report also has it that Aisha’s visit might be connected with her younger brother, Mr Mohammed Halilu Modi, who is contesting to be the next Governor of Adamawa State, under the platform of APC.

While addressing journalists, Mrs. Buhari said, “We are here to congratulate the party chairman and to thank the whole party stewards for the work they are doing and to also seek support for women, they should not be forgotten.”
