Moro Dedicates Victory to God, Idoma People, Others

SENATOR representing Benue South Senatorial District, Comrade Abba Moro, has dedicated his victory at the Benue South Senatorial District primary election conducted last Tuesday under the flagship of the PDP to God.

The senator according to a statement signed by his media aide, Comrade Ameh Godwin-Azikiwe, whole-heartedly appreciated God Almighty and all those who made his victory possible.

The Senator polled 179 votes to defeat his opponents who scored 72, 53 and 3 votes in that order.

He specifically thanked the delegates who defied all odds to vote for him. “He says his reward for them will be renewed effective representation, which they will continue to witness in the Senatorial District.

“He also thanks the Abba Moro Campaign Council, under the Chairmanship of Rt. Hon. Ezekiel Adaji, for working tirelessly, day and night, to ensure that victory was secured,” Godwin-Azikiwe said.

The senator also thanked the party stakeholders and leaders at the LG, Zonal and State levels for believing in him, stressing that he will never betray the trust reposed in him.

Senator Moro also extended his appreciation to the Governor of Benue State, Dr Samuel Ortom, his counterpart Rivers State, Governor Nyesom Wike; The PDP National Chairman, Dr Iyorchia Ayu; The former Senate President, Senator David Mark; the State Chairman of the party, Sir John Ngbede, and his EXCO, and all the leaders of the party for providing a level-playing ground for a peaceful and hitch-free election.

He congratulated his opponents for putting up a good fight, saying PDP and the people of Zone C are the winners.

The senator appealed to them to join hands with him to strengthen the party in Zone C and prosecute all the forthcoming elections to victorious ends.

He said he runs an open-door government that does not discriminate against anyone, stating that constructive criticisms, corrections and advice are always welcomed.
