Bandits kill 3 Niger PDP delegates while going to obtain means of identification

Three delegates from Mariga Local Government Area of Niger state that travelled back to their various homes to obtain their means of identification to enable them vote in the Peoples Democratic Party Governorship primary election were killed in an ambush by bandits.

The three were part of 17 delegates from the local government.

The names of the victims were not disclosed but were said to comprise of two women and a man.

Chairman of the State Electoral Panel and Deputy Governor of Bayelsa State, Mr. Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo made the disclosure on Thursday in Minna.

He also consulted all the aspirants for the replacement of the three dead delegates which they consented to after a brief deliberation.
