SPD disqualifies Khadijat Okunu-Lamidi

The Social Democratic Party, SPD, has disqualified Khadija Okunu-Lamidi from participating in the national convention of the party where its presidential aspirant.

Lamidi, daughter of Federal Commissioner of works, was among four aspirants competing to be the party’s flagbearer.

She failed to make the list of recommended aspirants by the Professor Tunde Adeniran-led panel.

According to the panel, Khadijat, a 2011 graduate, isn’t qualify due to her experience even as it acknowledged her potentials to hold cabinet office if the party wins the 2023 presidential elections.

“She exudes confidence, high communication skills, pleasant personality, charismatic, enthusiastic, she is however limited by experience”, the party wrote in its recommendation.

She is advised and encouraged her to vie for any other positions like the chairman of Local Government Area, member, House of Assembly and National Assembly.

“She is not presidential material in the context of Nigeria. She is advised to go down to other positions. If the party wins the presidency, she has demonstrated potentials to hold any cabinet office”.

SDP, outside the two main parties, is considered as the third biggest party in the country.
