The Senatorial candidate for Anambra Central under the platform of Labour Party,LP, Senator Victor Umeh said that the mass movement and support of Nigerians for the former Governor of Anambra state and Presidential candidate of the party, Mr. Peter Obi, is giving sleepless nights to members of the All Progressives Congress,APC, the People’s Democratic Party,PDP, and other parties ahead of the 2023 elections.

Umeh declared that the 10th session of Senate of the National Assembly would discuss the future of the country in view of the myriads of challenges bedeviling the socio-political and economic framework of the country.

Speaking during an interactive session with members of the Nigeria Union of Journalists,NUJ, Anambra State council, Umeh noted that Peter Obi, as a model and hot brand represents the heart of millions of troubled citizens.

Umeh further noted that Obi is determined and courageous to save the nation’s ship from crashing to the rocks.

He pledged that his going to the red Chambers of the National Assembly is to continue to be a strong and loud voice for Ndigbo and to help in finding solutions to Nigeria’s problems.

According to him, “The APC, PDP and other political parties are afraid of Peter Obi because of his resolve to erode poverty and an ability to manage resources.”

Umeh who was the former National Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance,APGA, said that Obi left PDP because of the grand plot and sabotage against the Igbo in their quest for the Presidency of the country.

He added that the brazen act of denying the Southeast and Ndigbo to produce the President by the two major parties was totally unacceptable and against the principle of zoning arrangement between the North and the South.

He stressed that Obi and his Labour Party backed by loud support of millions of Nigerians are to address the bitter experience.

“If you look at the Presidential primaries of the APC and the PDP, the Igbo would have buried their heads in shame if not for Peter Obi and Labour Party.

“Nigerians of all shades of opinion are rallying around Peter Obi. Nigerians must show commitment and love. What is happening is divine, Obi is a hot brand. We are urging Nigerians to rally round Peter Obi.

“Peter Obi stands for good of Nigeria and the citizens. The hope Nigerians need is Peter Obi, even in the midst of plenty he cannot waste the resources. Obi’s movement is a revolution that will take Nigeria far. He is a role model.” Umeh stated.

On the continued detention of leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu,Umeh advocated that the federal government should adopt proper dialogue between it and IPOB as mechanism in resolving the seeming conflict.

“Dialogue between the government and IPOB is the only way to resolve this problem. I subscribe that this government pursues political solution as a way of resolving the insecurity in the Southeast. The federal government should also adopt proper mechanism in conflict resolution,” he said.

In his remarks, the state Chairman of NUJ, Dr. Emeka Odogwu promised him for an unalloyed support from journalists in order to ensure the fullfilment of his heart desire concerning the Igbo nation.
