Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Dr. Folashade Yemi-Esan has reminded civil servants of the enormous demands of President Muhammadu Buhari from them in the discharge of their duties.

She made this call while speaking to journalists on Sunday in Abuja just after the Thanksgiving Service held at Exousia Church of God which climaxed the Civil Service Week celebration.

Speaking on the theme Performance Management System, she said “not only does Mr President and the government demand productivity from civil servants, even God demands us to be productive”.

She further lauded the efforts of civil servants. “I don’t have any reason at all to regret being the Head of Service because I have received a lot of cooperation and hard work from civil servants,” she added.

Also speaking at the event, Permanent Secretary, Head of Service, Andrew Adejoh, commended the Federal Government for rewarding outstanding civil servants with “physical gifts” this year.

He said the gesture has now “created a number of interactions for civil servants to air their views directly, and their complaints are taken directly by the Head of Service”.

The 2022 Civil Service Week celebration kicked off on Friday, June 17, with a Special Juma’at Prayer at the National Mosque, Abuja; followed by aerobics held on Saturday, June 18, at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium, Abuja; and an Interactive session with selected Civil Servants from all MDAs held on Monday at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Abuja.
