The Emir of Daura, Dr. Faruk Umar Faruk, has described Nigeria as the greatest beneficiary of democratic rule in Africa, under President Muhammadu Buhari.
According to the Emir, anybody working against Buhari would be making a great mistake warning that, “and, if you are not grateful to him, you will face the wrath of God Almighty.”
The Emir spoke on Saturday at the Kofar Arewa Eid prayer ground, Daura, Katsina State, where the President joined his kinsmen tho observe the Muslim Eid-el-Kabir prayers.
According to the Emir, “leadership is all about courage just like footballer on the field. People know that you’re not daft. It is only God who will reward you. I am not praising you, I am 92 years.
“I am grateful to President Buhari, our father, and father of the country for his continued patience and courage in leading the country for the past seven years.
“This man has done good job for the country more than anyone.
“Whether you agree or not, no other African country has benefited from democracy than Nigeria.
“We the Daura people have indeed benefited a lot in all spheres of development with your coming as leader so also other Nigerians.”
The Emir urged Nigerians to continue to pray for the President to succeed in the fight against insecurity.
