The Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Ahmed Tinubu has picked former Governor of Borno State, Kasim Shitima as his running mate while his ‘placeholder’, Ibrahim Kabiru Masari has withdrawn his candidature.
This outcome was as a result of a closed doors meeting of Tinubu alongside the Katsina State Governor, with President Muhammadu Buhari in Daura.
The APC Presidential candidate along with Governor Masari drove in to the President residence few minutes after 2 p.m.
Tinubu arrived Umaru Musa Yardua International Airport, Katsina at 1.15 p.m on Sunday from where he joined Governor Masari for a drive to Daura, the hometown of President.
The meeting was still in session as at 3:50 p.m when this report was filed.
