Former Vice President of Nigeria and presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in the 2023 presidential election, Atiku Abubakar has reacted to the passing away of Elder Olusola Eleka, father of the former deputy governor of Ekiti State.

Atiku, in a statement signed on his behalf by his Media Adviser, Paul Ibe on Tuesday described the late Elder Eleka as an accomplished man of family and community.

“The passing away of a loved one is always a difficult moment for any family. Therefore, on behalf of my family, I wish to express my heartfelt condolences with the Eleka family, especially to His Excellency Professor Kolapo Olusola Eleka.

“It is important to acknowledge that the late Elder Eleka lived a remarkable life and was a great accomplisher as a family man who held firmly to his religious beliefs.

“My prayer is that God almighty will grant the bereaved family the fortitude to bear this loss and to grant the soul of the departed a peaceful repose.”
