PRESIDENT house Muhammadu Buhari on Saturday reviewed his almost eight years in office with a verdict that, “I’m doing my best,” even as he pleaded for more patience for his efforts to yield the desired results.

Buhari said that citizens should be grateful to God arguing that the situation in Nigeria is still better when compared with some other African countries.

“I want to continue pleading with the people to be patient as we are trying our best though but pray our best will yield results” Buhari said when he visited the Emir of Katsina, Dr. Abdulmumini Kabir Usman.

Buhari who spoke when he visited the Emir of Katsina, Dr. Abdulmuminin Kabir Usman, said that, “to God be the glory, we are trying our best to salvage the country and I pray God will give us wisdom to finish it successfully.

“God will help us but if Nigerians should know the sufferings other African countries are passing through, they ought to be grateful to God.

“Nothing supercedes peace because those fomenting trouble even though we don’t know what they are after, I hope God will give us the wisdom to deal with them accordingly.

“An adage says that a bird that summons rain will also be beaten up by the rain.”

In his response, the Emir lamented that sentiments have eroded so much into Nigerians to the extent that they do not seem to appreciate what the President has been doing in handling the insecurity situation in the country.

On his part, Governor Aminu Bello Masari noted that, “we in Nigeria must appreciate God for the peace so far we enjoy considering other countries of the world.
