Head of Service training centres gets accreditation to run National Diploma programmes

Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation has informed that two of its Federal Training Centres, FTCs, have gotten accreditation to run National Diploma, ND programmes.
 
A statement made available on Wednesday by M .A. Ahmed, Deputy Director, Communications, said the National Board for Technical Education, NBTE, which accredited the training centres, granted the approval for the following programmes:

“Federal Training Centre, Lagos: National Diploma in Public Administration (NDPAD); National Diploma in Office Technology and Management (NDOTM); National Diploma in Computer Science (NDCOM); and National Diploma in Business Administration and Management (NDBAM).

“Federal Training Centre, Kaduna: National Diploma in Public Administration (NDPAD); National Diploma in Computer Science (NDCOM); and National Diploma in Business Administration and Management (NDBAM)”.

The statement added that accredited National Diploma courses in Public Administration, as well as Office Technology and Management are also awaiting further accreditation for a Higher National Diploma status.

“All programmes being offered by the remaining four (4) Federal Training Centres, FTCs situated in Calabar, Enugu, Maiduguri and Ilorin are still on interim accreditation status.

“In the light of this development, Public Servants and the general public are enjoined to take advantage of the newly accredited courses,” the statement read in part.

Ahmed noted that the feat is in line with one of the six pillars and strategic focus of the Federal Civil Service Strategy and Implementation Plan 2021-2025, FCSSIP25, which includes capability building and talent management, and the vision to build a world-class civil service for accelerated national development.
