Family and friends of Mrs Rachael Olusuyi, the Proprietress of Ruby international Academy Jalingo, on Wednesday, rolled out the drums to celebrate her at 57.

They organised a mini get together to celebrate what they described as God’s grace and mercy upon Olusuyi.

Speaking at the event, Mr Sunday Olusuyi, the veteran teacher’s first son, described his mother as an example of courage and determination.

He said that the family had organised the event to testify of God’s grace and mercy upon the life of their mother.

”She basically had no chance at life, when she started, at first it looked like she was at a disadvantage.

”She was trained as a teacher, but along the line, she discovered her potential beyond being just a teacher.

”And today, by the grace of God, she has become a major stakeholder in the education sector, specifically in Taraba State,” Olusuyi said.

According to him, being his mother’s son is a great honour and the best opportunity.

He further described Mrs Olusuyi as the greatest mentor and a source of inspiration, who guided and supported him to achieve his dreams as a successful lawyer and music artist.

Olusuyi advised his loved ones to emulate their mother by staying consistent and focused in all they planned to achieve in life.

The celebrant’s brother, Mr Olumuyiwa Onlede, Executive Director, Citizens Awareness Against Corruption and Social Vices Initiatives (CACASVI), lauded Mrs Olusuyi for keeping her family together and for contributing to the development of education in Nigeria.

Onlede wished his sister a long and healthy Life.

Earlier in her remarks, Mrs Olusuyi, who gave a brief of herself, said she was born on Aug. 10, 1965, and had been blessed with three children, two Lawyers and one ICT expert.

She said she returned all glory to God, who saw her through as a mother, and also helped her achieve her dreams as an accomplished teacher.

She prayed to God for more strength and wisdom in discharging her duties as an educationist and mother.

The celebrant also encouraged her family and friends to always put in their best in whatever they hoped to achieve and to continue with the good work they were doing for humanity.
