Former Military administrator of Lagos State and Executive Chairman, National Drug Law Enforcement Agency,NDLEA, General Buba Marwa, rtd. has described the pair of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Kashim Shettima as the best option for Nigeria in 2023 election.
He also congratulated the All Progressives Congress (APC) for picking his successors in office as Presidential and Vice Presidential Candidates of the party in next year’s Presidential Election.
Marwa made this declaration Monday when the steering Committee and members of The Renaissance Team for TINUBU/SHETTIMA paid him a congratulatory visit over his various achievements as the head of the drug agency.
Marwa, who was a former governor of both Lagos and Borno States handed over reigns of power to the two APC Presidential hopefuls.
He said “I feel delighted to receive you here today. I identify with your goals and aspirations. We are lucky to have the two candidates who were my able and worthy successors in office. Our party is indeed lucky to have them. The task ahead is massive but I have no doubt in my mind that we shall succeed. He pledged support for the group saying “I will do everything within my capacity to ensure our success in the next general elections”
In his presentation, the Co- Convener of the Group, Senator Ita Enang, Presidential Adviser to the President on Niger Delta Affairs said they were at the NDLEA House to identify with a winner, worthy leader, achiever and patron of the Renaissance group, General Buba Marwa. In his words, “this visit is purely to identify with our patron, General Buba Marwa, who is renowned for turning everything and everywhere he touches and goes to gold. We are here to identify with him and receive his blessings as we go deep into the campaign”
In his remarks, the Special Adviser to the FCT Minister on Environment and Waste Management and APC Chieftain, Arc. Tunde Imolehin, General Marwa has given the party and its members special bragging rights and his achievements will serve as major talking points in the forthcoming campaigns. Imolehin, former Secretary, APC Governorship Screening Committee said “Marwa is Change and APC personified. APC is not a government of change for nothing”
General Marwa thanked the team for coming after which a signed congratulatory card was presented to him by the team.
Other members of the entourage include the Director General of the National Biosafety Management Agency, Dr. Rufus Ebegba, Chief Chris Dirisu, APC Chieftain from Edo State and Chairman, Standard Organisation of Nigeria (SON), Hajia Zainab Umar Kolo, APC Chieftain from Borno, Pharm. Obonganwan Dorah Ebong, Commissioner, Federal Character Commission, Akwa Ibom, Chris Waya and Iveren Ukula (Queen Amina), Group Secretary and former Special Adviser to Minister of Education and a host of other party stalwarts.
The APC Renaissance Team for TINUBU SHETTIMA is a group of very committed and dynamic APC faithful and well wishers who is desirous of retaining the party’s political leadership particularly at the centre. The idea of the group is to complement the APC Presidential Campaign Council to achieve collective goals next year February.
