Governors Sule, Zulum, others join NSCDC boss for ground breaking of Co-operative House

Executive Governors of Nasarawa State, Engr. Abdullahi Sule and his counterpart from Borno State, Professor Babagana Umara Zulum will join the Commandant General of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Ahmed Abubakar Audi, at the ground breaking ceremony of the Co-operative House, on Monday, 31st October, 2022.

In a press statement issued today by the Corps Director of Public Relations, DCC Olusola Odumosu stated that the Monday event marks the first time such high profile Nigerians will be gathering on the Corps National Headquarters’ soil for such a historic event.

The statement noted that as the Grand Patron of the Cooperative Society, the Commandant General has greatly improved the living standard of personnel through provision of services that are of immense social and economic benefits such as the 200 Housing Mass Housing Units for Junior and Intermediate Officers in Kuje, Abuja, resurcitating of the almost moribund NSCDC Defenders Micro Finance bank among others.

It disclosed that the Cooperative House was another laudable initiative to further contribute positively to reducing the pressure on officers and men thereby increasing their productivity in the task for provision of security for our great country and its citizens.

It also stated that the building is expected to accomodate array of ventures that will provide services for members of the Corps and the general public thereby making more positive impact on the Corps’ welfare drive for its members.

The NSCDC statement also revealed that prominent Nigerians expected to witness the epoch making occasion would include; Dr. Taiwo Afolabi, MON, Group Chairman of SIFAX Group, Alhaji Samad, CON, President/ CEO of BUA Group, amongst other high profile personalities across the six (6), geo political zones in the Country.
