Amidst worsening access to forex to make global transactions from Nigeria, Chidiebube Nwogu, a 26-year-old Nigerian software expert based in the UK, has developed an app to boost global transactions and offer Nigerians cheaper flight bookings.

The app which was developed last year, was recently upgraded to provide more user-friendly features.

Mangaing Director of Safety Travels Ltd, Uchenna Nwogu, who disclosed this in a chat with newsmen on Thursday in Abuja, explained that the uppdated app enhances global transactions in all G7 currencies and the naira, including enabling Nigerians purchase flight tickets at the official CBN rate of N480 to a dollar.

She added that the app will provide Nigerians opportunity to pay for flights with the Naira Mastercard or Visacard, without credit limit on forex.

“The upgrade brings refined interface platform that makes for user-friendly, transparent and easy-to-use features. It enables the discerning traveler to book flight services online and complete transactions in both local currency and in all the G7 currencies with button support for multiple currencies and at the best exchange rates.

“The app has Goohle page rating of 95% score in speed, security and accessibility. It is powered by the internationally acclaimed Stripe payment platform for transactions in G7 currencies, and with provisions to pay in Naira for international flight bookings originating from Nigerian airports,” the agency stated.

Nwogu added that other benefits of the updated app includes opportunity to request seat allocation and assistance with visa applications and COVID-19 protocols.
