Ahead of 2023 General Elections in Nigeria, some political actors in the Southeast region are already drumming support for Peter Obi‘s presidential aspiration.
A politician, Chief Amaechi Ukoro said Nigeria is currently backward in terms of economy and sustainable development, hence the need to entrust Peter Obi, a tested and trusted fellow with the responsibility to revive Nigerian as he did when he governed Anambra State.
“If our country Nigeria wants to be free from present situation and join other developed  country, somebody like Peter Obi is needed to lead our country Nigerian. He is intelligent, humble and ever ready to make Nigeria good again,” he said.
Chief Ukoro who is also a frontline gubernatorial aspirant in Abia State,  assured the good people of Abia State of quality and purposeful leadership if elected Governor of the State in 2023.
He further assured his people that he will govern the state exactly the way the  former Governor Peter Obi governed Anambra State.
Chief Ukoro who said this while fielding questions from newsmen reiterated his determination to move Abia State to the next level if given the opportunity.
He also promised to develop all sectors of the state economy.
“My intention is to be a servant to my people not even as a governor. I want to sacrifice my talents and serve Abia  State to be the best State as Peter Obi did in Anambra state. I will salvage my people from shackles of  maladministration,  selfish leadership and develop Abia State more than other States in the South East,” the said.
He however, appealed to Nigerians, elderstatesmen, opinion leaders, especially the two major political parties in Nigeria to endorse Mr. Peter Obi to take over the leadership of Nigeria in 2023.
He conclueded that Obi has the capacity to fix Nigeria, judging by his track record, prudent management of resources as well as his  knowledge in handling economy.
