The Campaign train of the All Progressive Congress, Presidential, National and State Assemblies was on Tuesday greeted by a mammoth jubilant crowd at Agassa-Uruvochinomi Juncture, Okene, country home of Kogi state Governor, Yahaya Bello.
Led by Governor Bello, the party’s stakeholders continued in their effort to garner votes for the party’s presidential candidate, Sen. Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Vice Presidential Candidate, Sen. Kashim Shettima and other contestants on the platform of the party.
The party stalwarts assured the people of more people-oriented projects if the if the APC is voted back into office to consolidate on the achievements of the out-going administration.
The Governor who presented the party flags to its candidates for various elective positions, thanked the multitude of supporters for their loyalty.
He asserted that the achievements recorded by the present administration in execution of legacy projects would be small compared to what the APC government will provide when reelected into office.
He also maintained that the party would continue to ensure truth and justice in all its activities, saying it would mobilize party supporters and bring on board, as many as possible into the party.
According to him, when the party comes back into power, the people of Kogi State will have a lot to benefit as projects will be attracted to the state in the overall benefit of the people.
Governor Bello, who canvassed support for the Senatorial and House of Representatives as well as State House of Assembly candidates, promised that they will not regret doing so.
The Governor urged the people to give their total support to all APC candidates as they did in 2019 to ensure continuation in its programmes.
Speaking earlier the Director General, Kogi State 2023 Presidential, Senatorial and State Assembly Campaign Council and Chief of State to the Governor, Pharm. Abdulkareem Jamiu Asuku thanked the supporters.
He assured that the party had presented credible and popular candidates hence the victory of the APC at the polls was guaranteed.
He added that it was time to ensure the the presidential flag bearer, Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu and his running mate, Kashim Shettima as well as other candidates were voted into office.
In his own remarks Director-General, Kogi Central Campaign Council, Abubakar Adagu, described Governor Yahaya Bello as a leader who is concerned about the well being and growth of the party.
