Police arrest suspects planning to hack election results in Katsina

THE Katsina State Police Command has confirmed the arrest of 15 persons for alleged possession of tracking devices suspected to hack into tomorrow’s election results.

The Police has on Friday raided an office belonging to a political party participating in tomorrow’s polls

Report has it that, the suspects are party agents who were planning to hack into the election results.

Katsina State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Gambo Isa told this medium that the suspects were arrested with computers and apps. ”Police is conducting investigation and the outcome of the it will be make clear to everybody”

“We don’t want to jump the gun. We invited experts and they are doing their work to see the system to asscetain actually what is in the place because of its sensitivity” SP Gambo Isa said.

However, a source told our Correspondent in confident that the said office is an election situation room of a party operating for about a month in the area and wondered why Police invaded without warrant of arrest.

Meanwhile the suspects have been detained at the police headquarters, await the conclusion of the investigations.
