Wike, Umahi, Akpabio meet President in Aso Rock

President Bola Tinubu has again, met with former Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, former Ebonyi State Governor, Dave Umahi and Senator Godswill Akpabio, at the Presidential Villa on Monday in Abuja.

The meeting was the second by the President with Wike in just four days, as the former governor was in the State House last Friday, along with Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, and former Delta State Governor, Chief James Ibori.

Both Wike and Umahi had met with the President last Friday in his office seperately.

Although the reason for the visit of the former governors and Akpabio, also a former governor of Akwa Ibom State could not the ascertained at the time of filing this report, it was believed it may not be unconnected with pending choices of ministerial positions and upcoming election of National Assembly principal officers.

Akpabio, who is the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) preferred candidate for the position of the President of the Senate, is believed to have come in their company to firm up his position with the President.

While departing from the meeting, they declined to speak to State House Correspondents desoite efforts to know the essence of the meeting, they maintained silence.
