…Tasks State Commandants on effectiveness

Commandant General, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, said that as part of its mandate to protect critical national infrastructure in the country, has uncovered and destroyed over 100 illegal refineries within the last two years.
Audi made this disclosure yesterday during the Commandant’s Quarterly Conference held at the Corps’Headquarters in Abuja.
According to him, since his assumption into office, the NSCDC has apprehended over two hundred suspects in cases connected to oil bunkering out of which one hundred have been prosecuted.
He said, the Civil Defense Corps no doubt, has carved a nitch for it self in the area pipeline and railway vandalism within the last two years.
The Corps helmsman assured of its commitment with the view to achieve good and better results and safety of citizens as well critical infrastructure in the country adding that efforts have been intensified to provide maximum security on such facilities across the country.
