…Commends Gov Yahaya Bello for keeping Kogi safe

Ahead of the November 11, Governorship Election in Kogi state, Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association, MACBAN, Kogi Chapter, has publicly declared “firm support” for the All Progressives Congress and its candidate, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo.
Umar Yusuf Damina, Chairman of the State Executive Council of MACBAN alongside some national leaders of the association and hundreds of Fulanis from the 21 LGAs of Kogi State made the declaration on Saturday in Lokoja.
The MACBAN members who were on a visit to Governor Yahaya Bello and the APC candidate in Government House pledged their unwavering support for the Bello-led administration and the APC’s flag bearer.
The Chairman, Umar Yusuf Damina, commended Governor Bello for his numerous achievements within the state and beyond.
He described the “firm decision” of MACBAN to support the APC as a testament to Governor’s unwavering commitment to the well-being of its members and his efforts at providing security for all citizens and residents of Kogi State.
Damina expressed the belief that the APC candidate, Ododo, would sustain the legacies of Governor Yahaya Bello and continue to build upon the solid foundation laid by the Governor.
Receiving the MACBAN members at the Glass House, Government House, Lokoja, Governor Yahaya Bello commended their endorsement of APC and its candidate, Ododo for the upcoming November 11, elections.
The Governor, applauded their display of unity and affirmed his administration’s stance against all forms of discrimination against the Fulanis in Kogi State especially, those engaged in lawful businesses both within Kogi and across the country.
He lauded MACBAN for its valuable contributions to information sharing and intelligence gathering which he said, had aided conventional security forces in identifying and eliminating criminal elements among the Fulani community in the state.
Bello said that the Fulanis were known for their unwavering commitment to their word and expressed his conviction that that would, undoubtedly, throw their support behind the APC during the November 11 polls.
He emphasised his government’s resolute stance against the promotion of ethnicity and tribalism in the state.
He urged law-abiding Fulanis residing in the state to go about their lawful businesses, remain vigilant and help identify criminal elements among them and thereby contributing to the overall peace and safety of all residents.
