Breaking News: Northern Senators visit bomb victims in Kaduna, donate N58m

Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani has announced that Northern Senators have visited him over the tragic accidental bomb blast at Tudun Biri in Kaduna and sympathised with the state government, while jointly donating N58 million to the community.

According to the Governor, the Northern Senators Forum, led by Senator Abdul Ningi have also joined the call for a thorough investigation into the unfortunate incident and for exemplary punishment to be meted out to those found culpable to serve as a deterrent to others.

Governor Sani disclosed this on his verified Twitter handle @ubasanius a few hours ago on Saturday.

“I had the honor and privilege of receiving Distinguished Senators of the Federal Republic under the auspices of Northern Senators Forum, who were in Kaduna to condole with the government and people of Kaduna State over the unfortunate Tudun Biri military drone attack.

“They donated the sum of N58 Million to the families of the victims of the unfortunate incident”, he tweeted.

He further stated that, he urged the lawmakers to take critical look into the nation’s laws and update them so as to strengthen Nigeria’s security agencies.

“It is by strengthening our laws and the security architecture that we can avert future tragic occurrences.

“I thanked them for their show of solidarity and support to our people at this crucial moment,” Governor Sani further said.
