Kaduna State governor, Uba Sani has inaugurated a broad-based Committee charged with the responsibility for the implementation and monitoring of projects and funds for the Tudun Biri Community, the injured and families of the departed victims of the recent accidental military bomb.
The Committee is chaired by the Deputy Governor of the State, Dr. Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe.
While inaugurating the committee on Sunday in Kaduna, Governor Sani said the committee has been constituted for the purpose of accountability, inclusivity and transparency.
Membership of the Committee is drawn from Representatives of Victims of the unfortunate Tudun Biri Incident (Next of Kins of the departed and injured), Community, Religious and Political Leaders from the Tudun Biri Community and Igabi Local Government, and the Kaduna State Government, he explained.
Writing on his verified Facebook page, Uba Sani listed the Terms of Reference for the Committee to include: Developing a database of the injured and next of kin of the victims of the unfortunate Tudun Biri military drone attack.
It would also take inventory of all the donations made by the National Assembly members and leadership, Northern Caucus of the Senate, Northern Caucus of the House of Representatives, Southern Caucus of the House of Representatives, the Nigeria Governors Forum, Northern States Governors Forum, Corporate Organizations, other senior government officials and well-meaning Nigerians.
Others include developing a framework for disbursement of the funds and ensuring prompt disbursement to actual beneficiaries, liaising with relevant Federal and State Government Agencies for the effective execution of intervention projects for the Tudun Biri Community, and;
The committee is also expected to submit monthly reports on its work, to keep track of its progress.
