Gov. Ododo Condoles VP Shettima Over Loss Of Step Mother

GOVERNOR of Kogi State, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo has commiserated with the Vice President, Sen. Kashim Shettima (GCON) over the demise of his step mother, Hajia Hauwa Abba Kormi. who passed on to glory in the early hours of Thursday.

The governor in a condolence message made available to newsmen in Lokoja said he received the news with sadness and pains and prayed God to grant her eternal peace.

He said, “On behalf of myself and the good people of Kogi State, I wish to express my heartfelt condolence on the death of your stepmother, Hajia Hauwa Abba Kormi.

“However, as they say, ‘the one who is adored the most by God, is the one who achieves eternal life’. We will miss her.

“For the family she left behind, be strong and may the Lord give you the strength to sail through these tough moments of life.

“We pray for the soul of the departed to rest in peace, and may Allah (SWT) grant you and the entire family the fortitude to bear the loss.

“Once again, please accept the deepest sympathies and solidarity, both of myself and of the good people of Kogi State”, he said.

Ododo who described the Vice President as his “leader and mentor” prayed God to grant him the fortitude to bear the loss.
