How terrorists killed 8 residents, abducted 45 students in Katsina community

The Katsina State government has given details concerning the killing of eight residents of Yannasarawa community in Faskari Local Government Area by terrorists.

During the attack, the marauding bandits also abducted a total of 45 Junior Secondary School (JSS) students, according to a press statement by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Abdullahi Garba Faskari.

The statement signed by the Director of Press, Abdullahi Yar’adua, said the government expressed sorrow and sympathy to the families who lost their loved ones in the attack.

The SSG during a sympathy visit to the area confirmed that the bandits razed 10 houses, 12 shops, along with eight vehicles.

Residents said that the hoodlums were yet to make any contacts concerning those abducted comprising 37 female and eight male students respectively.

“The Governor reiterates the government’s commitment to continuous war against undesirable elements until the state is rid of banditry and other heinous crimes,” the statement said.
