Bauchi anti corruption Commission warns against hoarding of food items

The Bauchi State Public Complaint and Anti Corruption Commission has vowed to deal with hoarders of food items and other consumables across the state.

The Commission has since engaged marketers and dealers of consumable commodities with a view to enlighten them on the implications of hoarding commodities to avoid getting wrath of the law.

The Chairman of the Commission, DIG Sani Muhammad (Rtd) handed down the warning while meeting with major marketers in Bauchi metropolis, pointing out the legal implications of the unlawful dealings, with is aimed at providing solutions to the lingering issue of daily price increment of consumable commodities.

He said the Commission will soon swing into action in accordance with the provision of the law after they constitute a Joint Committee to deal with the issue of hoarding which has inflicting untold hardship in the society.

In his remarks, the Chairman, Bauchi State chapter of the Amalgamated Union of Traders and Artisans Association of Nigeria, Abdullahi Muhammad said from their end the Commission will have maximum cooperation to ensure that the desired result is achieved.
