Yoruba leader wants Tinubu to Control Price of Commodities

The Otunba of Yoruba Community in the FCT, Chief Dr. Wasiu Tunwase, has charged president Bola Tinubu to deem it necessary to control the price of commodities to make things easy for the people in the country.

He noted that many people were going through hardships in the country due to the high price of foodstuff in the market.

Tunwse, who gave the charge in an interview with newsmen in his residence in Zuba, calling on Nigerians to support the administration of president Tinubu in order to move the nation to the next level.

He further urged Tinubu to work towards reducing the price of fuel to alleviate the suffering of commuters, while tasking the president to also reduce the price of cement to enable the people to erect their own houses.

He then pleaded with Tinubu to fight corrupt government officials in the country, as he said the corruption had eaten deep into the fabric of the society.

Tunwase, therefore, called on both Muslims and Christians to live in peace with each other irrespective of their religious differences, and described Yoruba as peace-loving people.

Speaking on the security challenges facing the country, the Otunba urged the Federal Government to remain committed to combat against criminals in the country.

While commenting on the FCT Minister’s projects put in place in the territory, the Yoruba leader commended the Minister, Barrister Nyesom Wiike for the ongoing accelerated development.
