Federal Capital Territory Police FCT, Police Command, Abuja, has arrested two suspects for armed robbery and phone snatching.
ASP Yusuf Mariam, the Command Public Relations Officer, in a press release on Sunday, said Police Operatives from Lugbe arrested one Moses Nwagbara ‘m’ 24years for being in illegal possession of a firearm. The suspect confessed to terrorizing residents along that axis. Exhibits recovered are: one locally made pistol.
In another development one John Jimoh 26years, a member of a three-man phone snatching syndicate was arrested by Police Operatives from the Central Police Division during routine night patrol on Wednesday May19th,2021 along Ahmadu Bello way Abuja, while attempting to attack and rob his vigilant victim.
“The suspect who is also an ex-convict confessed that his syndicate is responsible for snatching phones of unsuspecting drivers along NNPC-National Mosque junction at night. Effort is underway to arrest other members of the syndicate”
She said all the suspects will be arraigned in court upon conclusion of investigation and that
