The House of Reps. Member for AMAC/Bwari Federal Constituency Hon. Micah Jiba has empowered another set of his Constituents with 22 motorcycles cycles, 44 sewing machines and 100 bags of fertilizers in his Constituency.
Hon. Jiba made good his promise to another set of his constituents, the youths and women alike on Friday at Damagaza community of Abuja Municipal Area Council of the FCT.
The beneficiary received motorcycles, sewing machines and as well fertilizers, as part of the constituency intervention program of his federal Constituency of AMAC/Bwari Federal Constituency.
Hundreds of bags of fertilizer were also distributed to beneficiaries, mostly farmers from the 22 wards across the two  areas councils that make up the Constituency
Speaking at the distribution ceremony, Jiba said items distributed were not part of the gesture towards supporting and empowering the less privileged as part of his campaign promises.
The federal lawmaker added that the empowerment scheme was part of his 2021 constituency project in all the 22 wards to alleviate the suffering faced by the people.
He advised them to use the items judiciously for the purpose it was meant for, assuring that other physical projects would be executed in all the wards of the constituency.
“My empowerment programme is a sure way of remembering my people and to say thank you for the mandate given to me to represent them,” he said.
He pleaded with those who were not able to benefit from the scheme to be patient, saying that the second phase would come up soon.
Also speaking, Chairman of Peoples Democratic Party PDP, in FCT, Sunday Zaka, commended the lawmaker for coming up with the empowerment scheme, which he said would help alleviate suffering in the constituency.
Mr Luka Sabo, a beneficiary from Bwari Central Ward who thanked the lawmaker for the gesture, also described him “as a man of the people” who uplifts the lives of his constituents.
“I want to sincerely thank our distinguished representative and I pray that God continues to be with him,” he said.
Also, Mrs. Alheri Danlami, from Kabusa Ward who was empowered with a sewing machine said the lawmaker had made a meaningful impact on her and promised to use the item judiciously.
It would be recalled that on February 2, 2021, Hon. Jiba had embarked on an inspection tour of 25 intervention projects in Abuja Municipal Area Council, AMAC and Bwari Area Council sponsored in the 2020 Budget.
He equally distributed palliatives thrice at the heat of the coronavirus pandemic to cushion the effect of the pandemic on his constituents.
