Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello has flagged off  the All
Progressives Congress (APC) membership registration and validation
exercise in the state, saying that not less than 25 million people
are ready to join the party.

Governor Bello disclosed  this yesterday in his  country home polling
unit 11 Agassa, Ahachi, Okeneba ward in Okene local government council
of the state where he declared the exercise opened.

“We are registering and validating members into our party. People make
the party. President Buhari has advised us to rebuild the party from
bottom up. I have received nothing less than 25 million people that
are ready to join the party,” he said.

Governor Bello  who was accompanied by his wife, the deputy  governor,
Chief Edward Onoja and other prominent political office holders in the
state, said the exercise is in consonance  with the directive of
President Muhammadu Buhari to rebuild the party from bottom up.

The exercise attracted party faithful and political appointees, as
governor Bello reiterated his commitment to build the party and make
it one of the strongest parties in the country.

“We are charged to mobilise, sensitize, educate all Nigerian citizens,
including those that are in the party and those that are not in the
party to join APC. All the youths, women and those in other political
party come and join the party. It is only in APC that you can realise
your dream,” he said.
