The Nigerian Army on Tuesadyhas confirmed the reports of an inferno. That is seen to affect a part of the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) office.

 

Earlier, some online medium report that the Army Headquarters was on fire.

 

In addition, the report state that though no official statement has been released at the time of filing the report. Sources in the Headquarters says the inferno affected the offices of the Chief of Army Staff.

 

However, the Director of Army Public Relations, Brigadier General Mohammed Yerima in a statement says that an electrical fault in one of the offices sparked a minor fire incident at the  Army Headquarters Complex,  Abuja.

 

“The Army Headquarters complex is currently undergoing some renovation involving electrical rework”.

 

“The Nigerian Army Fire Service Department has since put out the fire. However, There No casualty during the incident and normalcy has since returned to the complex”.
