CHAIRMAN of Kebbi State branch of the National Youth Caucus of Nigeria, NYCN, Alhaji Sanusi Bala Dan Inno, has condemned the massacre of innocent farmers in Zabarmari at Jere Local Government Area of Borno State, saying the killings of Nigerians by the dreaded Boko Haram is one too many.
Inno, who noted that their unhindered actions cast doubts on the government’s ability to protect her citizens, pointed out that innocent citizens were either kidnapped, robbed, or raped by unscrupulous elements with reckless abandon.
“We hereby condemn the killings in totality, and we are calling on (President Muhammadu) Buhari to take concrete actions against the culprits. As a youth body, we will not fold our arms and allow needless killing while the government engages in media propaganda. The government must be alive to its constitutional duties of providing security to lives and property,” he said.
He regretted that the killings came at a time when the government asked citizens to go back to farms for self-reliance unfortunately he said the same government has failed to protect the farmers.
