Former Super Eagles goalkeeper trainer, Ike Shorunmu has asked Chinedu Obasi to name the officials who demanded money before he would make the final squad to the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
Obasi, who featured at the 2010 World Cup in South Africa, has alleged some team officials asked him to pay for his place on the squad to the World Cup.
“He should mention the person or persons he was talking about,” said Shorunmu, who was among the backroom staff to Brazil.
“These are serious allegations and it’s therefore his responsibility to do that.”
Shorunmu also dismissed the bribery allegations.
“From my experience, such a thing did not happen. I don’t believe his story,” said the former Super Eagles goalkeeper.
The former FC Zurich star further said Obasi failed to make the final squad because he was not fully fit as he had just returned from a long injury layoff leading up to the World Cup.
