As part of its social responsibility, Dunamis International Church has flagged off the construction of the road at Karu/Jikwoyi Area Council of Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

While addressing the people at the event, Etsu of Jikwoyi HRH Bawa Jatta said, there is a need for the residents to support the project, adding that the government cannot do it alone.

“For having the mind to do this project, may other people copy from Dunamis, as we will drive on this road and shall be happy.

“Mud will not spoil our vehicle, trousers, wrappers, shoes again, we will be celebrating on this road,” he said.

Resident Pastor of the church, Yakubu Usman said the gospel is unto good works.

He asserted that, “We are the salt of the earth, a city set upon the hill that cannot be hidden, so this work is not to prove a point but a social responsibility of the church to alleviate and to help humanity.

Also speaking, Pastor Peace Usman prayed for blessing upon the commission, stating that God will complete the project to his glory and that He will raise men for himself to the completion of the project.

Residents of the area said during the raining season, they find it difficult to come to attend church service, as a result of the muddy environment.

On his part, Resident Pastor of Dunamis Church Kabayi, agreed that the road when completed, is going to bring joy to the community and people around the environment.

An anonymous resident of the community said it is a project that is really God ordained that will give a new lease to both the people and environment in that community.

Another resident said it is a laudable project with benefits to all and sundry, especially the immediate community in which the church operates.

“It is the vision of the commission as this is not the first time, anywhere the church is located, they contribute positively as part of its social responsibility of the church to people of the community where the church is located and its not going to be the last,” noted the speaker.

Also, Project Engineer on the site, Austin Azodoh, said, “We don’t want to alter the natural design because if you look at it, we have about 20metres width, if we say let’s go by the initial design, it may cost excessively.

“So we decided to introduce about 7-8metres width road carriage way.
“The road will have a stone base, and it will be asphalted, in areas that require drainages, then we will introduce drainages and also have walkways.
