In a bid to tackle the prevailing societal problem of out-of-school children in the country, the Federal Ministry of Education has flagged-off the  Better Education Service Delivery for All, BESDA, programme in Jigawa State.
Minister of State for Education, Dr Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba, during the launch of the BESDA programme aimed at getting more children off the streets to classes, also tasked members of the public to be vigilant at all times, as it is a collective responsibility to secure the lives of students.

He also commended the men of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, and Police officers who were on the ground at the school premises during the visit.
Recall that there have been a series of attacks on public schools recently in Niger, Kaduna and Katsina States.
