Minister of State for Education, Dr. Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba has reiterated the ministry’s readings to partner with relevant stakeholders in promoting Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics, STEM, education for the advancement of the country and the well-being of Nigerians.
The minister stated this during the weekend at the just concluded 23re National Junior Engineers, Technicians and Scientists, JETS, competition.
Dr. Nwajiuba noted that most real-time global players in technology today achieved their status through ingenuity and hard work of scientists, engineers, technologists and mathematicians.
He therefore charged the participants to channel the experience garnered in ensuring that they expand their knowledge on STEM towards solving real life problems.
While congratulating winners in the competition, Dr. Nwajiuba encouraged those who did not win to give it their best next time.
The minister, however, thanked all resource persons, coordinators, teachers and students from all theaters and FCT for their inexhaustible efforts towards making the competition a huge success.
“I have been fully briefed about the wonderful hospitality of the director/CEO and the entire staff of the center, right from the pre visit by the officials of the ministry to the centre up to this moment, I was not expecting anything less, we are all one in the federal ministry of education,” Dr. Nwajiuba stated in his closing remarks.
