Desirous to place Nigeria amongst real-time global players in science and technology, Minister of State for Education, Dr. Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba, has reassured the Federal Government determination to intensify the development of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics, STEM, education in the country.
The minister gave the reassurance while monitoring the conduct of the Technical and Business Certificate Examination by the National Board for Technical Examination Board, NABTEB, in Lagos recently.
Dr. Nwajiuba further expressed the Federal Government readiness to also strengthen Technical and Vocational studies in the country through the Federal Ministry of Education in order to find lasting solutions to the unemployment quagmires bedeviling the country.
Nigerian Pilot would recalled that the minister had early this year, affirmed the ministry’s willingness to partner relevant stakeholders in promoting STEM education for the well-being of Nigerians.
He was accompanied by the Registrar, NABTEB, Pro. Abanihe Ajangbadi, South-West and North-Central Coordinators of the Board, as well as the Permanent Secretary, Lagos State Ministry of Education, amongst others.
