All Progressives Congress, APC, has again reiterated the importance of the ongoing nationwide membership registration and revalidation exercise, saying its success will determine the party’s chances in the 2023 general elections.
Niger State governor, Abubakar Sanni Bello, stated this Wednesday while inaugurating the State Membership Registration Committee and Zonal Monitoring Committee in Abuja.



Gov. Bello, who is the chairman National Committee for Membership/Revalidation exercise, said the objective of the exercise is to ensure that no one is left behind, and to  ensure that any interested person or group are free to join APC.
 
He warned that commandeering, theft or hijacking of registration materials will not be tolerated, adding that domination of registration process by an individual or group will also not be accepted.
 “The whole intention of this exercise is to expand our membership base for we believe that when this is done we believe that it will increase our chances in the next coming election,” he said.



 
Also speaking, Kano State governor, Abdullahi Ganduje, expressed confidence that the party would have effective and efficient registration process, adding that his State will end up with very high member that are registered.



“We (Kano) are the largest democracy in Nigeria through the registration exercise we shall prove to all that we are in deed the largest democracy in the country,” he boasted.
The last time APC held nationwide membership registration and revalidation exercise was in 2014.
