Four new commissioners were on Monday sworn in by Governor Udom Emmanuel of Akwa Ibom with a charge not to be intimidated by criticisms.

Emmanuel while performing the swearing-in in Uyo further charged them to be diligent and show committee to in the discharge of their duties.

The Governor who urged the new appointees to shun self-aggrandizement but to always work in the interest of the 7.2 million Akwa Ibom people also told them that they were appointed on the strength of their wealth of experience for the actualization of the completion agenda.

Emmanuel who also swore in new Permanent Secretaries in furtherance of the Completion Agenda of his second term administration urged those who could not make it as Permanent Secretaries to brush up for another opportunity.

He however emphasized that it would not be proper to appoint a 21st century Permanent Secretary who is still in the mold of a 19th century Permanent Secretary.

That sworn-in as Commissioners included Mr. Uko Udom, Dr. John  Edet, Mrs. Idongesit Etiebet, and Mr. Umo Eno while the five Permanent Secretaries on Mr. Ini Ikie, Dr. Ini Etukudo, Mrs. Esther Inyang, Mrs. Grace Jim, and Mrs. Abasiekeme  Essien.
