RESIDENTS of Old Dagbanah Community, Nasarawa State – a suburb that borders the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, have benefited from a free medical service organized by the Help Initiative Int’l, HII, in commemoration of the 2020 World AIDS Day.
The medical outreach, according to the convener and the Chairman Board of Trustee of HII, Mr. Onoja Precious Ikojo, was HII’s timely intervention for the people of the Old Dagbana community.
It covered: malaria testing and, HIV testing and counseling, Hepatitis A, B & C, and other services, treatment, and referrals, as the case may be, with the aim of combating the menace in the community.
Ikojo further stated that HII is presently working in Kogi, Nasarawa States, and FCT in various areas of interventions.
“The NGO, Help Initiative Int’l, started in 2019 to enhance global communities where children, women, and youth (especially the marginalized and less privileged) live a life free of hunger, ill-health, HIV/AIDs and have a sustainable livelihood. We organized free medical outreach to help cater to the poor and less privileged, and we will be doing it twice a year for now.
“We are here to give the people of Old Dagbana the needed medical support and to give them a better and healthy future.
“Our thematic areas cover health, education, environment, politics and good governance, we also focus on the children especially the orphanage and the vulnerable ones as well as the women and the youths,” he said.
