General Manager of Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) of Ibadan, Rasheed Balogun, has reiterated his belief in the ability of the players to take the team back to the elite league.
Addressing the players in the team’s camp at Ijebu-Ode, where preparations are being wrapped up for the 2021 Nigeria National League (NNL) season which kicks off this month end, Balogun told them that his confidence in them was enough to give him the rest of his mind.
“I have absolute confidence in you to do the job. We now know who our opponents are and I want to tell you that they are all good teams But I am not worried because I believe in the quality of the squad we are parading.
“I just want you all to be fully ready for the battle, be prepared to go to war with victory at the back of your mind because we cannot afford to fail the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engineer Seyi Makinde, and the entire people of the state as well as our supporters and fans across the globe.
“We have no other option than to succeed this time around, no excuse for failure because we have been given everything we needed to succeed, and like I have been telling you, we have not seen anything yet from His Excellency”, stated the 3SC boss.
In their separate responses, both the Team Manager of the club Dimeji Lawal (MON) and the Chief coach, Edith Olumide Agoye, appreciated the efforts of the Governor Seyi Makinde led Oyo State government and the Balogun led management on the team, assuring the GM that the players were more than ready, physically and mentally for the task ahead.
Team captain, Omololu Waheed also assured of the player’s readiness to make the entire people of Oyo State and all the lovers of the club happy by picking the promotion ticket back to the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) at the end of the season.
