A leading Governorship Aspirant on the platform of the PDP in the coming Anambra State elections Dr Okwenna says he will bring the PDP back to power in Anambra State if given the ticket of the party.

Okwenna tells party leaders in Anambra to make sure that the person who will emerge as the candidate of the party at the primaries, which is set to hold on 26th June, must be one who can win elections and not one who will be another flag bearer.
Okwenna points out that the party has been having flag bearers since 2007, he says that “it’s time we ask ourselves why a PDP State like Anambra can’t produce a Governor for 16years”.
In addition, he said “This is a time for introspection” Dr Okwenna further says. “Anambra needs somebody with character, capacity, honesty, humility and accessibility”.
Okwenna went on to say that such a person must know the terrain so well and be available to interact with different strata of people in the state, adding that such a person must also be solid, experienced and prudent in managing the already depleted resources of the state.
Similarly, Dr Okwenna makes it known that he is a mould with all these qualities and is ready to serve, however, he expresses concern at the travails Olisa Metu, has passed through, following the bias judgement handed to him, to truncate his ascendancy to national prominence.
Dr Okwenna says, he is overwhelmed by Olisa Metu calm demeanour and strong will throughout his trial and incarceration, thanking God that in as much as men will always do their wish when in power, God remains the ultimate judge and his will is final.
Finally, he urges Olisa Metu to ensure that Ndi Anambra does not miss the opportunity, he will be providing, if elected as Governor of Anambra State, this time.
