Senator representing Imo North Senatorial District, Chukwuma Frank Ibezim, has called on the Federal Government to urgently construct and complete the 123/33KVA power transmission substation in Okigwe Local Government Area of Imo State.
The Lawmaker made the call at the Senate plenary in Abuja, yesterday.
Sen. Ibezim lamented that Okigwe, the headquarters of Imo North Senatorial District has suffered complete neglect over the years, especially on irregular electricity supply owing to the absence of a power transmission substation.
He therefore called on the Federal Ministry of Power to urgently commence the construction and completion of the approved, but long abandoned Okigwe 132/33KVA Power Transmission Substation in the area.
The motion received massive support and approval from the Senate
