The Igbo World Assembly has called for the transformation of Igbo land into the industrial hub in Africa.
President of Igbo World Assembly and the Onowu of Abagana, Dr. Nwachukwu Anakwenze appealed to Igbos all over the world to support the transformation agenda christened “Turning Igbo into Japan of Africa through Think Tank Program”.
Dr. Anakwenze made this call at a virtual meeting to inaugurate the Igbo Think Tank Central Planning Committees in Enugu.
Applauding the initiators, the President said that Igbo World Assembly has been yearning for such a program and he would mobilize his members all over the world to support the program.
He further noted that it is imperative for Ndigbo to think of a home and build a homeland which they would be proud of in the world, reiterating that he would be fully involved in the program.
He recalled that Japan, which is now the world’s role model, suffered a lot after the Second World War but was able to rise up after the trauma.
The President called on all the stakeholders in Igboland to support the initiative and promised that Ndigbos living in South Africa would as well support the project.
In his appreciation remark, a scientist and the founder of Naturecracy International, Prince Chinedu Nsoffor who doubles as the Chairman of the Central Planning Committees assured the Igbos Think Tank Board of trustees led by Professor Maduike Ezeibe that his committee and subcommittees would not fail Ndigbo and also called on all Igbos to support the agenda.
The planning committee members are Prince Chinedu Nsoffor as Chairman, Dr. Kenneth Nwankwo- General Secretary, Barr Ndukwo Ndukwo Ogbuja – Publicity Secretary and Mr. Osadebe Ibegbu- Diaspora Liaison Officer.
