A real estate broker and Managing Director of Nekky Trusted Link Properties Ms. Ozoemena Nneka Sylvia has said that Nigeria can easily overcome the present housing gap in the country with the right housing policy by the government and the right information to the masses. Nneka stated this in Abuja while addressing some journalists during the weekend.
Nneka who is also a member of Real Estate Brokers Association of Nigeria further explained that one of the reasons that housing for all is not working for the country is because information is not getting down to the masses.
According to her, “many Nigerians who are in dire need of shelter don’t even know what the policy of the federal government says about housing.”
“Many of such people don’t know how to access housing loans and to make the matter worse, many people don’t even have information on how to get a facility from Estate Brokers, that’s why some fell into the hands of wrong people who dupe them of their hard earned money”
The Estate Broker said that genuine Brokers are everywhere as well as genuine properties but the right information is the problem.
“For instance, I have properties scattered around the Federal Capital Territory FCT and across the country such as: Green Atlas Shelter and Living Lugbe by airport road, Sunrise valley estates Asokoro Abuja 2, behind NAF Valley Estate, Boundless Court Estate behind River Park Estate Lugbe.” “Others include Boundless Court Estate Ibeju Lekki, Boundless Court Estate Ibadan, Boundless Court Estate Owerri, Boundless Court Estate Awka, Anambra state and Boundless Court Estate Enugu.
She said that the properties are affordable but many are not aware of such opportunities that abound in the country.
